I feel like a target for a few people in his family. Am I?

I am divorced since my children were an infant and toddler.


I have been single for many years and actually have done pretty good for myself. I drive a fairly new SUV, I work at a very lucrative job as a RN. I own my own home. I have dated the same guy for 5 yrs and we have a lot in common


Recently my boyfriends brother went into the hospital for a 2nd bypass in 10 yrs. He is a really nice fella, so instead of sending him a flower, I sent him a funny card and a pair of really nice Mizuno shoes which are my favorite brand. I knew he would be walking in the fitness center at the hospital, so I figured rather than buying him a stupid flower, I would put my money into something useful-walking shoes. I firgured it would cost about the same and thought it would be appreciated.


Now his wife is all jealous and he would not talk to me during our last visit. My boyfriend told me she is that way.


I now am being treated like dirt by the whole family. Did I do something wrong?

Don%26#039;t change being who you are because people don%26#039;t know how to deal with that. Just continue to be who you are! I would love to have a friend like you.

If it was put that it was from you and him, she shouldn%26#039;t be jealous. But if you put it was just from you, that%26#039;s going to get anyone with a jealous bone there body in a whirlwind and she probably went trash talking to the fam. Don%26#039;t let it bother you. What did the boyfriend do about this? He should be sticking up for you.
Reply:No, I think it was very nice and they are all just jelous because they didn%26#039;t think of it. If you want to go to whom ever you think is the gossip or who is the lead of this family and explain that you where just trying to be nice and recongize you overstepped boundry in %26quot;this family%26quot; It would be best for your bf to address the issue, but this is probably only going on because he is afraid to do so. I personaly would just tell them all to go to hell, but I%26#039;m kida a bi*** that way.





When my bf%26#039;s mother was in the hospital I cleaned her apartment, got her some night gowns, underwear, socks, and some reading materials. Everyone in the family kept tellling me it was none of my business. They also started telling my bf that he need to empty his bank account because they needed money. I stepped in and told my bf we need to talk about this and he agree (we have lived together for over five years). It was my bf%26#039;s responsibility to stand up to the family and he eventually did. Now, the family doesn%26#039;t mess with me and realize my bf and me are a family within the family and they should respect me as his partner.

Flowers are NOT stupid, however and please don%26#039;t feel that way just because someone might have suggested it might have been more appropriate. His wife sounds like a real winner and so do the rest if they can actually be angry at such a kind gesture!!

Stress Fracture?

I started a new fitness routine %26quot;fitness boot camp%26quot; 5 weeks ago. It is a boot camp for mainly women. We workout 4 nights a week with 25 pound back packs, extensive running and leg workouts. Since about the third week my calves have been in alot of pain and my feet are also burning. So much that I can%26#039;t wear flat shoes and it hurts to wear anything but tennis shoes. I am no longer able to keep up with everyone now at boot camp because the pain is so great in my feet, calves, and shin area. Should I get this x-rayed or does it sounds normal. I just feel like 2-3 weeks is a long time for it to be hurting. Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a good training shoe for high impact aerobics ?

I do a lot of high impact aerobics and dance but find that I get quite a bit of pain along the outer edge of my foot, I also get shin splints occasionally - my fitness instructor says she used to get this as well until she changed shoe - she recommends a flat shoe like Nike air or Tennis - anyone else got any ideas ?

Can anyone recommend a good training shoe for high impact aerobics ?
I have Nike Free%26#039;s and I love them for high impact. However, if you have pronation problems, they won%26#039;t work for you. You need to find out if you under or over pronate (turn your foot inward or outward while exercising) before you choose a shoe. If you have pronation you need a shoe with stability control, or else you risk injuring your joints, (which could be causing the soreness).
Reply:Hi there same prob as me - try Asaics (however it%26#039;s spelt) Gel trainer or Nike Pegasus they both have really good absorption - failing that try a specialist running shoe shop where they get you on a treadmill and see your running style, and they can then make sure you buy the correct shoe for the way you walk, run, jump etc. Good luck.

skateboarders make big jumps and need the shock to be absorbed.

I'm a college student on a budget but I need some good workout sneakers with white soles. Recommendations?

Any good and relatively cheap shoes? I%26#039;ve looked at Sauconeys, Converse so far, and their shoes seem fairly nice but I%26#039;m just looking for some recommendations. I%26#039;m not professional athlete, I just need decent workout shoes with white soles so I don%26#039;t get kicked out of the fitness center. Ha! (Male)

Reply:They arent the coolest hipest shoes on the block but New balance is probably the best sneaker as value and comfort as you could find. they are asigned a number and the higher the number the better the sneaker. Like a pair of 1000%26#039;s + would last longer and are more comfortable than 500%26#039;s etc..





These sneakers are best in support for your feet and your feet affect everything else especially your legs and back.
Reply:Check out your local athletes foot store, they have mad cheap shoes. Check out sears or all those other department stores besides the mainstream ones meant for sneakers like footlocker. They%26#039;re cheap, are you ordering offline? Get Nikes or something or go on eBay
Reply:There are upscale thrift stores that have name brand items. Usually run by a hospital axcillary or Cancer Society. Try there.
Reply:New Balance are the best shoes I have found for working out in. They%26#039;re not as cheap as some off brand generic shoes, but definitely cheaper than Nike or Adidas.

What kind of shoe shall I get to workout at Gym and for running? Which brand will you recommand?
If you are not going to use your shoes for running, then you should get a cross trainer.Cross trainers are stiff and will provide both outer and inner stability. They don%26#039;t feel soft but have shock absorb built in them. Try going to a New Balance store, they will take the time to look at you gait, fit you properly and give you options to pick from. Make sure they watch you walk. Find out if you pronate, supernate or neutral. If you pronate and have high arches get a stability shoe which has a stability web. But if you have flat arches, find a shoe with a roll bar. If you supernate, get a shoe that has cushioning and no support. If you are neutral if a mild stability shoes.
